Gauhati High Court Put Stay Order on Assam Irrigation Results 2020

The Gauhati High Court (GHC) on Wednesday i.e., 19/02/2020 put a stay order on the results of the examination held for the recruitment to 397 Section Assistant posts under Irrigation Department, Assam. The Irrigation Department has been prohibited to announce the results without prior permission from the High Court.

According to various media reports, the examinations were conducted by a blacklisted company, Aptech, which was earlier blacklisted by the Allahabad High Court. The Irrigation department has conducted the examinations for the posts of Section Assistants through this company.
It is worth mentioning that the Irrigation Department had organised the said examinations on February 1 and February 2, 2020.
